If you’ve been using InqScribe 3 over the past month and wondering,
“Why can’t I actually buy this yet?”
…this post is for you.
We owe you a quick story, a small apology, and some good news.
The Soft Launch That Turned into a Free Month
About a month ago, we quietly rolled out InqScribe 3. It was meant to be a soft launch: let people try it, catch bugs, make sure everything felt solid.
At the same time, we were switching to a new payment processor: Paddle.
The plan was simple:
- New version
- New store
- Normal free trial
- Then buying
Instead, the store part… did not happen.
Despite starting the process with Paddle six months ago, we ran into a maze of approval delays, shifting requirements, and multi-week response times. Emails routinely took 2–4 weeks to get a reply, and when they did respond, they’d address exactly one item at a time:
“You need a refund policy.”
“Here it is.”
“No, not that one.”
“Okay, updated.”
“No, still not right.”
Repeat, with new paperwork.
At various points we were told:
- We needed to verify one owner.
- No, actually all owners.
- Including one who is no longer part of the company.
- No, wait—maybe not that one after all.
It became an intricate, slow-motion bureaucratic puzzle, played over email with weeks between moves.
While this dragged on, we didn’t want to lock anyone out of InqScribe 3, so we did the only reasonable thing:
We made the trial one month long for everyone.
Accidentally generous? Yes.
Planned? Not exactly.
Helpful for testing? Definitely.
The Plot Twist: Back to the Old Store
After weeks of waiting, we made a call.
We stopped trying to make Paddle happen and went back to our original payment processor, FastSpring — the one that has worked reliably for us for years.
It wasn’t glamorous. It involved re-configuring the store, re-testing licenses, muttering at screens… and drinking more coffee than usual.
But now it’s done.
And the timing? Let’s just say we slid in right under the wire… on the same day those month-long trials were about to expire.
So… We’re Extending the Trial
Because this whole delay was on us (and, okay, a little bit on Paddle), we’re extending the trial for everyone as a courtesy. Feel free to click that “Request Free Trial” button (again).
You shouldn’t be punished for our store drama.
And now, finally…
🎉 The Store Is Open 🎉
This is the part we’re genuinely excited about.
After a month of people emailing us things like:
“I love it, how do I pay you?”
“I want to upgrade, but… how?”
“Please let me give you money.”
We can now say:You can actually buy InqScribe 3!
Which is:
- great for you
- great for us
- and great for keeping InqScribe alive and improving
We’re truly sorry to everyone who’s been eager to support the new version and had to wait while we sorted this out. Thank you for your patience, your kind emails, and your good humor about the situation.
In Summary
✔ Trials are extended

Thanks for sticking with us through this little hiccup. We’re excited to finally move forward—and even more excited that you can now officially own InqScribe 3.
